I know when I was there with her one of the big reasons I wanted to have the TV on was so that I could distract myself from thinking about her being there in the bed next to me. I needed to be able to think about something else for a while.</description>

But we weren&#039;t - she was lying in a bed dying. I wondered if it was because we didn&#039;t want to accept what was going on.
